Give Thanks

A popular lady is giving a party,
So many of her friends have come,
An old lady alone in a nursing home,
Would be thankful for just one.

A rich man with so much wealth,
Has his table so fully spread,
A hungry man is more likely,
To be thankful for a piece of bread
.
If birds only sang once a year,
We would listen to their trill,
Be aware of our daily blessings,
That show God loves us still.

Let us always give thanks to God,
For it is He who supplies our need,
Counting our blessings we will find,
We are a blessed people indeed.
