When I Was A Boy

When I was a boy,
Younger than I am today,
I never really understood,
All the things you would say.

And I didn’t quite realize,
How much you sacrificed for me,
You taught me so much,
And made me the man you now see.

But I was always aware,
From the very start,
That you loved me so much,
And with all of your heart.

So on this special day,
I wanted to make sure you knew,
That I appreciate all you’ve done,
And say that I love you.
