The Test

I have a test next lesson
I’m really not prepared
I have a test next lesson
I’m really getting scared!

It’s really not my fault
I tried, I really tried
Yet with all the things to do
This test got pushed aside

I was extremely busy
Running here and there
I didn’t manage to learn for the test
But it’s not that I didn’t care!

I really wanted to study
I really wanted to learn
I just had so much else to do
It never got its turn!

So now as I sit here
Looking at the test
A couple of questions I manage to do
I simply don’t know the rest!

I look at everyone else
Their pens are scratching away.
I think I’ve learnt my lesson, you know
Studying really does pay!
